Popular dancehall deejay Bounty Killer (real name – Rodney Price), appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday, where he was freed of assault charges stemming from an alleged incident last September in which he reportedly used a hammer to beat his girlfriend, Racquel Smith.
Bounty Killer’s lawyer made a no-case submission when the matter came up for trial yesterday, after the complainant (who had previously indicated that she wanted to drop the charges) and her attorney failed yet again to show up for the trial. As a result, the judge made a no-order ruling and Bounty Killer left the court a free man.
